    Terry Daun called me yesterday.  He is the new drummer for Michael Bruce.  He's the guitarist who backed and wrote most of Alice Cooper's hit's.

      Comp 9 deadline is coming up in next month, August 1st.  If you are looking for some inexpensive promotion for your music, check out the details on the Comp 8 page..  Signed up so far are JoeReyna, Jose' Diaz, Rikiki Ralph, and me; all of Victoira, and Kama Linden (NY).   I am waiting on word from LoveBone (NY), Czaar (Croatia), bands in Germany, Italy, Kuwait, and you. 

      At this point, I think I wil have to extend the deadline for DVD Comp I.  Besides some of the folks listed above, Gypsy Carns (MS) will also be featured.    

    I been receiving emails that the $50 audio comp fee is too expensive.  I am certain these are people who are sitting on their couch, twittling their fingers, waiting for a label to sign them.  I have no doubt they have no idea what it cost to mail out a promo pak to the media.  Postage alone will cost you $4 on average.  I mail out to 40+ in 12 months.  Then consider I send complimentary copies to each musician participating.  Then add the time, which you can't put a price tag on, of corresponding with the media and the cost of producing a few showcases.   It's like the old adage: YOU CAN LEAD A JACKASS TO WATER, BUT YOU CAN'T MAKE HIM DRINK.

    I know times are hard.  they have always been.  If you can afford a bag  of weed or to get drunk, and yet, If between 4 or 5 people, you can't afford to come up with $50, you deserve to stay undiscovered.

    I found an extremely funny cartoon in the local paper a few days ago in the editorial section.  It depicted the Mars rover landed on Mars, surrounded by Martians.  Some were wearing  "MARS MINUTEMEN" t-shirts and others were  holding a clip board and wearing a "Illegal Alien" Investigator's uniform.
